ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Wholesale Merchandise Coordinator will provide the business with the leadership to take our brands to the world within the Wholesale & Market Place environment and deliver on our Group vision to be the “dominant value brand globally.”

A critical role within the Wholesale team, you will be responsible for;

  • Conducting shop visits to execute monthly VMD and ensure that guidelines are followed to maintain a global brand image
  • Executing Brand visual merchandising directives in a Wholesale account.
  • Implementing and continuously reinforcing the visual merchandising standards set by the company within different brands. 
  • Maximize our retail presence by negotiating optimal real estate and square footage to uphold brand integrity
  • Train store teams on Cotton On DNA, product knowledge, customer service and merchandising standards to maintain brand integrity and maximize product sell-thru.
  • Ensuring that Cotton On VM marketing standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Provide daily verbal and written communication regarding various aspects of the store visit. 
  • Meeting with the National Brand Manager on a weekly basis (by conference call or by individual phone calls) to discuss specific issues pertaining to the account
  • Developing a strategy with the NBM and account manager to implement new business opportunities.
  • Implement business opportunities by reacting quickly to best sellers with NBM & account manager in order to maximize sales

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • College degree preferred
  • 1-5 years’ experience in merchandising, retail management, or equivalent experience with major vendors
  • Computer knowledge including Word and Excel
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Knowledge of retail math
  • Established relationships within account preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Ability to take initiative; assertive
  • Must be willing to work from home 1 day per week
  • Must be willing to work in department stores 4 days per week
  • Must be willing to travel within a designated territory when required
  • Must be willing to travel overnight if required
  • Must use personal car to travel within designated territory on a daily basis        
  • Must be able to lift minimum 25+ lbs. and stand for long periods of time
